Teddington Police Station sale

As many of you will know, we’ve been looking to move to a new building for more than a decade. Most recently, we’ve made the case to the Metropolitan Police that the Teddington Police Station site should be redeveloped for affordable housing and a new GP surgery. We made a formal offer to them in conjunction with Richmond Housing Partnership, but unfortunately, they did not accept this offer, and have instead marketed the property for sale.

We have been extremely well-supported throughout by Munira Wilson, as our MP, and by the local council and councillors, for which we’re very grateful.

The practice are considering how best to be ensure that the police station, as a community asset, is redeveloped for community use rather than simply sold off to the highest bidder, and we will post further on this shortly, but will likely need to call on the community to support us with the NHS, for funding, and potentially at planning also.
