Richmond Carers Centre’s summer programme of activities is now out (Updated May19)

Registered carers can attend free workshops on topics as varied as relaxation techniques, gardening on a budget, and a guide to the Carers Allowance. There is also our regular programme of free groups and social events , including the Art Group, Book Club and River Crane Walks, plus Carers Culture Club, with outings to Kew Gardens, the Bank of England and London Wetlands Centre. Initiatives in Whitton

Food Bank: (part of Richmond Food Bank)

Located at Whitton Community Centre, Percy Rd, Twickenham TW2 6JL; every Friday between 09.30am-12.30pm, which incorporates a friendship cafe with free coffee/tea and pastries/biscuits. Email: brenda.martin@cotlg.org.uk

Cooked dinner for students at Whitton Academy: For six weeks started on 23 April 2019. To support children who may not otherwise have an evening meal, this service runs during the exam period. Email: brenda.martin@cotlg.org.uk

Life skills course (Christians Against Poverty): An eight-week course which incorporates wellbeing, budgeting, eating on a low budget, healthy relationships, communication and more.

Venue: Whitton Methodist Church Percy Road, Twickenham TW2 6JL starting 25 April 2019; every Thursday evening from 7-8:30pm.
