West Middlesex letters and results
Unfortunately, we are currently not receiving any clinical communication from West Middlesex Hospital. This includes A&E, discharge, and outpatient letters, and also the results of all imaging done at Teddington Memorial Hospital.
After discussions with their IT team, it appears that this problem is partly due to an IT change they made in November 2021, but that multiple letters before that have also not reached us.
As an interim measure, they are going to resume posting letters to us while they look into the problem with their IT providers. We have highlighted the clinical risks that this poses, and are content they are treating it as a priority – we apologise as part of the NHS for any inconvenience this causes our patients.
