NHSmail issue preventing website login

Thank you all for your patience while we get to grips with the new GP clinical system. We became aware this morning that NHSmail had, without warning, disabled the email account on which we depend to send out codes.

This means that we know about 70 of our patients have been unable to access services today, and we apologise wholeheartedly for this.

We have pointed out to the NHSmail team that it is completely unacceptable that some bot they run disabled the account without any consultation with us, with the only notification being sent from a noreply account, at 10am on a Sunday, to our practice manager who was away over the weekend.

NHSmail have been cavalier and reckless with our ability to run the practice and our patients’ ability to access services, and we will be asking them to apologise tomorrow. If they fail to do so we will move away from NHSmail to a service on which you and we can actually rely.

Please bear with us while we get them to do the job they have been paid £160m for since 2015.
