Data sharing – update

Further to our previous posts about data sharing with NHS digital, they have now announced an indefinite delay to plans for implementing the extraction of your data from our systems.

There are some genuinely encouraging statements there, particularly that they will not extract data until:
* Patients who opt-out in future can have their data deleted after upload
* Proper engagement with patients has happened

As things stand, our position has not changed as a practice, but we feel this is a step in the right direction by NHS Digital.
