We’re pleased to say that we have been approved to receive covid-19 vaccine this coming week, with a delivery scheduled for Wednesday 13/01/21.
In line with national guidance, we are required to vaccinate people per the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation guidance, meaning we are starting with care home residents and the over-80s. These groups have started to be invited by the surgery this week.
Vaccines will be delivered from the Greenwood Centre, and we’re very grateful to them for working with us to be able to use the site for this purpose. We also had kind offers from Elleray Hall, who as you know helped us deliver flu vaccines, but NHS England would not allow the site to be used. This may change if they relax rules on using the Oxford vaccine moving forward.
Please make every effort to come to the site independently. We do have volunteer driver support from the Greenwood Centre and from our social prescribers via RUILs, but capacity is limited.
We will contact you by text and/or phone to invite you, and please bear with us while we get the site up and running and invite you.
